Help on Poker Crunch Charts

Poker Crunch equity charts provide additional hand equity details. Each chart shows how frequently that hand will have a certain equity on the next street. For example, the “Equity Distribution on random flops” shows you how often a pre-flop hand will hit the flop and how hard.

Suppose you want to study how Ace–King suited (AKs) plays against a pair of fives (55) heads-up. Their equity is nearly even:

However, they play pretty differently. The equity chart below shows why. Consider it from the point of view of AKs. With around 30% probability, AKs will have at least 85% equity on the flop—which is when it flops a pair or better. Around half the time, it will miss the flop entirely and its equity will be low (on the right side of the chart). The remaining 20% of the time (in the middle-left of the chart), AKs flops some kind of draw.

Now let's add another hand into the mix: a pair of tens (TT). From the point of view of AKs, not much has changed (compare the red line in the figure above with the one in the figure below). Things have change dramatically for 55, however. Its equity is poor except for around 10% of the time—when it flops a set.
